Dan Quayle put an ‘e’ on the end of “potato” and the partisan political operatives (also known as “the press corps”) pounded him so relentlessly that they ended the man’s career. Yes, good things did come out of the Civil War. I was making a complete hypothetical, but this whole discussion is neither here nor there. My personal opinion is that allowing the civilians to be able to obtain weapons easily can easily lead to the formation of militias trying to overthrow the government, break people out of prisons, etc. People without previous offenses couldobtain a weapon and then easily go into a store and murder everyone, just food for thought.
