The US has laid …
The US has laid economic siege to Iran for 30 years. In 1953 CIA coup of Mosseddeq then installs Shah of Iran. Recently (March 2007)Congress voted $120 M for anti-regime media broadcasts into Iran and $60M in funding for opposition, violent underground Marxists and restive groups as Azeris, Kurds, Arabs under the “Iran Democracy Program”. Pakistani intelligence sources put the CIA’s recent spending on “black operations” to subvert Irans government at $400 million. No wonder Iran hates US.

Like you, too many …
Like you, too many churchfolk have the wrong priority (example: worrying about what Media is doing) . As Christians our job is clearly: Discipleship (spreading the Good News) and Mission (helping the least in our society) If we do our job well, our actions speak louder than any message the media has. You say you aren’t religious. Any time you want to get to work on Discipleship and Mission I’m sure there is a church that could use your passion. After all there’s alot to do.

To be more accurate …
To be more accurate, Thomas Jefferson and Lincoln were more deist than atheist. Both hated organized religion and kept it out of their politics, but they did at least hope there was a supreme being.

Maybe you were too …
Maybe you were too young to remember Yasser Arafat’s death and the media’s attitude towards the “regretful” death of one of the most radical and active terrorists known. They refered to him as a “freedom fighter” and a “supporter of Palestinian rights”.

Then look at the media’s gleeful and celebrated death of the Pope.
What a ing travesty. The maintsream media hates Christianity and of course America.

Then on the other …
Then on the other hand, the media supports the islamofascists that we are holding in Guantanamo Bay and elsewhere.

Why does a Christian commiting a crime such as child molestation get a harsh condemnation by the mainstream media, while an islamofascist commiting a crime such as strapping a bomb to a child’s chest and forcing him to blow up other children go unnoticed in the media?

This double standard is indicitave of the media’s hatred of Christianity and America.

Wake up sheeple.

First, I must tell …
First, I must tell you that I am not a religious person at all. I’m just a proud American.

You cannot deny the fact that the mainstream media consistently demonizes Christianity. Everytime a christian or catholic commits a crime, the media is so quick to get their word in. Look at the whole priest molestation movement. Granted this is a horrible crime, but child molestors exist in every religion and culture. Why do they only concentrate on Christians?

Do you have some …
Do you have some examples of mainstream media demonizing Christianity, or any other religion for that matter? What you call “Christian principles” may be common to most great religions. Other than the belief that Jesus is the Son of God and that he died to save us from our sins, I’m not sure there is a lot about Christianity that can’t be found in other religions. The sooner religious zealots realize that, the better.

It’s so sad that …
It’s so sad that elections are reduced to 30 second soundbites and one or two debates. There’s probably 100 hours of Joe Biden talking knowledgably and consistently on the most important issue this year. How does McCain get credit for having the “experience” when all he does is waffle?

Sept 1 08

Sept 1 08
spokesman for US Democratic vice presidential candidate Joseph Biden on Monday scathingly rejected an Army Radio report which claimed Biden told Jerusalem officials three years ago that he firmly opposed an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities and that Israel would likely have to come to terms with a nuclear Iran.

Wasn’t America …
Wasn’t America founded on freedom to worship? I don’t see what’s the problem with teaching children about Islam. It’s every christian parent’s responsibility to teach children about christianity, teaching Islam is just increasing knowledge and broadening understanding of different cultures in this era of globalization. It’s like asking why are we teaching children spanish, french, german? we should only be teaching them english because the country was founded by english speakers.

If you’re really …
If you’re really serving in the military, then you’re a sad, sad disgrace to the values of America, the values of service, and the values that our brave men and women have died for. You should be grateful you can enjoy the freedom they died to give you so you can spew your hateful anti-American sickness.

So really, you’re …
So really, you’re focused on liberals in the media demonizing christianity? What I think you see is the extremist side to liberalism. I guess I have not been paying attention enough though, since you made that statement. Can you give me some examples on this?
Remember lets keep this civil, I don’t claim to run for senator presently, but hopefully I will like 25-30 years from now, hahaha. And I also plan to serve in the Air Force after I’m done with college. I was also a Sea-Cadet btw.

And I am not a …
And I am not a religious person at all. Yet I understand history and I understand that our Constitution, the very foundation of this country, was founded on Christian principles. So for liberals and their friends in the mass media to demonize Christianity as they do so often is a slap on the face of America.
It is one thing to have seperation of church and state. It is a completely different thing to demonize the very foundation of your own country.

From an American …
From an American serving in her military to a person who claims to run for senator, I will tell you this:
America is in jeopardy. She faces an enemy that is determined to kill her. This enemy is not just Islamofascism; it is also the liberals within America that seek to destroy her. For a politician such as Obama to stand up and preach his communist views is an insult to my service, and an insult to every American. Should Obama get elected, his term will be a disgrace to America.

By the way, I plan to run for senator later on in my life, your input is valuable to me so please respond. I find discussions like these very interesting, and I like to have everybody’s opinion.

“I believe that god …
“I believe that god wants people to be free. And that’s part of my foreign policy.”

-George W. Bush 2006

This quote of course is infallible. It was quoted by himself. I’m not atheist, I’m also religious, but the founding fathers wanted the separation of church and state even though they themselves were christian.

“not so blind to it” means so people can learn about each other and learn how to deal with someone of that culture.

1) I’m not liberal. …
1) I’m not liberal…
2) That quote was used to illustrate the point that “god made bush president.”
3) I love every blade of grass this country has.Anyway, what you are saying is that I am atheist which I am not. What my religion is, is of no ones importance and care really. But currently I am in school/college and technically I am a kid. So from experience, what I have been taught is an understanding of what Islam is, its not being forced down my throat. It’s so people are not so blind to it

For one thing, you …
For one thing, you cannot come to a conclusion on anything based on something that someone’s someone heard someone say. Secondly, to cite a source such as NY Times automatically makes your argument useless because they are a bunch of communist liberals that hate America.
And lastly, what is it with you liberals hating Christianity so much? Rewriting our children’s history books to not include our Christian foundation, yet pushing a better “understanding” of Islam on our children. What the ?

Jackson Lears in …
Jackson Lears in the New York Times reported Bush as saying, “”Events aren’t moved by blind change and chance”…, but by ”the hand of a just and faithful God.” From the outset he has been convinced that his presidency is part of a divine plan, even telling a friend while he was governor of Texas, ”I believe God wants me to run for president.”
