I do agree, and I wouldn’t even add “in modern days”, but I can’t really tell if it’s different from “conservative” in any subtancial way. For me, America’s “democracy” is nothing but the choice between smallpox and anthrax.

That’s good if you’re happy with it. I support libertarian socialist, also called anarcho-communism. That is, the abolition of both capitalism and the state, instead of the state-capitalism. That’s the only sure way to get the result you may seek from that balance, according to me.

i support the idea of a balance between liberalism and conservatism that results in a balanced semi-socialist republic…….WITHOUT the corrupt politicians (lost in america a few presidents ago) i guess i like the idea of personal accountability to motivate the country and improve morals. and the morals are getting thinner and thinner while moronic anti-patriots and conservatism haters invite ruthless and passionate fighting radical muslims into the USA who would kill everyone regardless

I say labels. …
I say labels. They’re too broad, self ascribed, and encompass extremes. People can focus on the extremes in either group and will begin to believe that all people who associate with either term fit either extreme. Its absurd to believe that any opinion can be fairly summed up with two possible terms. Its black and white thinking.
