@k3304 He didn’t tax the “shit” out of most people. He taxed the “shit” out of the rich, which I support. He also didn’t have two senseless wars going on which are depleting our economy and our resources every day. Bush should have kept the regulatory policies in that regulated the market. It’s not a secret that if you don’t regulate people, they will get greedy - history has taught us that much at least. Bush was the biggest mistake we ever made and I hope we learned from it.

Check the S&P 500 from March of 1999 (when the recession started to Jan 2000. It got clobbered) And then 911 happened. You are correct that Bush should have supervised the housing market more

@k3304 A recession in 1999? We had a surplus when Clinton left office. I’m not saying any of them are perfect, because none of them are, but you cannot argue that the economy is in any way not the product of the Bush administration’s blunders that has brought on so much hardship on the country as a whole. The problem Bush had going was not supervising the market, he had nothing to do with allowing low incomers to obtain credit. Dems want basics for people, not houses.

@k3304 The fact of the matter is that the entire economy problem began under the Bush administration because they insisted of letting the market run itself and not controlling it. Once it began going down, it was impossible to stop it, let alone bring it back up. The unemployment rate is only one consequence of that. Our country was given to the wolves who had 8 full years to devour it and then leave the pieces for us little folk to put back together. Bush was the biggest mistake you made.

Yugo, how about 10% unemployment. There’s a topic at hand. It went from 7% under Bush to 10%. It didnt go down but up. Obama has a 44% approval rating right now from CNN. The deficet has quadrupled under Obama. That’s what’s important. Not name calling.
