If Barack Can, We (too) Can Do it Women!

Posted by: admin   in Barack Obama

If Barack Obama can defy the terrific odds of being raised by his grandmother instead of a nuclear family,  graduate Harvard magna cum laude, become a community organizer in Chicago in 1985, serve Illinois as their Jr. Senator from 1996-2004, win their US Senate seat from 2005-2008, and later outsmart, outrun, and outfundraise Hillary Clinton to become the Democratic nominee, and ultimately win the prize of the United States of America’s first black President, then we women can surely push past our resistance to learning about our money.

By comparison…well there really IS no comparison, period. Yes, we do live in a sexist society still, and for 60+ year old women, whom I prefer to call mature women, the socialization was especially steeped against women embracing money knowledge.

Yet, I mention Barack’s accomplishments because we are also still living in a racist society, albeit far less so than 40 years ago, and he is living proof that with determination and perseverance, these systemic shackles can indeed be shed, like old coats.

The urgency for women to begin their quest for financial knowledge and investment know how is prompted by these statistics:

  • 90% of women will be SOLELY responsible for their money at some point in their lives, perhaps for decades.
  • 51% of first marriages end in divorce after which both parties suffer a net worth drop of 77% on average, according to the Journal of Sociology’s Marriage & Divorce’s Impact on Wealth report.
  • The average age of widowhood is 56; widowhood causes a average of a 20% drop in income.
  • 1/3 of all widows are under age 60 and 1/2 of all widows are under age 65.
  • 1/3 of women over age 75 are living in poverty; i.e., less than $890/month.
  • The average female lives seven years longer than the average male.

Let’s understand some basics and begin a step-by-step plan of tracking our expenses and assessing our investments now to determine if we are on track to achieve financial security.  We Can Do It Women!®

Ladies, do you think that life for WOMEN will become BETTER or WORSE when BARACK OBAMA is "president" ?
Because of the faschist and dictatorship type climate that has settled
beneath us for the last 8 years. I agree that the Bush Administration
has underminded and disregarded many rights of women. Too many
to list here. But with all of those marches in DC during the Bush era,
it is clear that there are many issues that have gone unsung when it
comes to the well being and empowerment of women. With that being said. Barack Obama has laid down the foundation and has created
the catalyst for a major change, when it comes to the rights of
minorities and women at large. Do you think that life will be better or
worse for women, when Barack Obama is president.

I don’t really foresee a big change in any area that has been previously handled by Troglodytes, I think it will be a pretty smooth transition. Barack lives in the modern world and I don’t feel anyone should be worried about what the men in general in the past have tried to have total control over. Barack don’t seem to be afraid of allowing people to have their own opinion why do you think he earned his right to Presidency instead of buying or fouling the vote to get it. GO PRESIDENT OBAMA!

The US will continue bankrupting itself, if anything Obama will speed up the rate in which the US becomes bankrupt. His "hope" and "dreams" will make gullible and jaded Americans believe that globalism will work. He will never take responsibility for anything, he will always blame something/someone else, and use that to advance what his globalist puppeteers want him to do. It makes perfect sense for a character like Obama to appear out of the woodwork after 8 years of Bush. I don’t believe that any of it was spontaneous or a coincidence… it is all planned.

It won’t become better or worse for those women who won’t let good things happen to them. Life will become better for men and women who work harder/smarter, who realize that their life is in their hands, and it is a product of their own choices, irrespective of who the President is.

Still waiting to watch people’s reactions at his choosing a centrist approach.

There are always major changes for minorities, poor people, and women whenever a 20th century democratic candidate takes office. But do not think that all will change radically overnight. And with Obama’s election comes a renewed sense of responsibility for minorities, poor people, and women.

Seriously, why were black men given the right to vote before ALL women in America?

Hopefully the economy will improve, jobs will be secured, people will be under LESS stress, & we will be able to work together to achieve a more perfect union for MEN & WOMEN.
