Health Reform in No Uncertain Terms

   Posted by: admin   in Barack Obama

On March 15, President Obama visited Northern Ohio, home of cancer survivor Natoma Canfield, who recently had to give up her insurance after a 40% rate hike. She was invited to tell her story before a crowd with the President but a recent diagnosis of leukemia prevented her from making it. Natoma, along with the countless other Americans in need of quality health care, are the reason health reform is needed so urgently.

I am the first to …
I am the first to say that this is politicized from both sides of the political spectrum, this bill has alot more to do with a huge grab in power, the demise of the insurance companies, im not a fan of insurance companies in fact mine costs way to much, healthcare needs fixed, but not this way, this is a ploy for progressives to get the foot of America so to speak, in the socialist door, the progressive agenda is not for the good, and the proof is the way they are going about making it law

the way they are …
the way they are going about getting it passed, against the people, the polls have indicated that an overwhelming amount of Americans dont want it and they dont have the votes so they use thier power to get it passed anyways, that proves it is motivated by an agenda, insurance agencies employ alot of people, and home health care companies that rely on insurance, tens of thousands, me included are going to loose their jobs over this, so I am firmly against it

Sec. 224 (p. 118) …
Sec. 224 (p. 118) provides that 18 months after the bill becomes law, the Secretary of Health and Human Services will decide what a “qualified plan” covers and how much you’ll be legally required to pay for it. That’s like a banker telling you to sign the loan agreement now, then filling in the interest rate and repayment terms 18 months later.

the government will …
the government will require you to do:

- Sec. 202 (p. 91-92) of the bill requires you to enroll in a “qualified plan.” If you get your insurance at work, your employer will have a “grace period” to switch you to a “qualified plan,” meaning a plan designed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. If you buy your own insurance, there’s no grace period. You’ll have to enroll in a qualified plan as soon as any term in your contract changes, such as the co-pay, deductible or benefit.

National debt? Well …
National debt? Well first I would say that our former vice president said that “deficits don’t matter” And our former President didn’t pay for Medicare part D or either of his wars. Our former President didn’t even put his wars in the budget. Our current President has the wars in the budget so that is a big part of his deficits. To lower the national debt maybe we could have a one time tax to pay for the trillion dollars we owe for the Iraq war now that we are worrying about deficits.

Obama doesnt care about the American people and healthcare in general! He just has a hard on for being the first president to pass healthcare reform! 4 million jobs lost while he is in office,and a horrible recession and what is he doing during all of this? Jacking off HEALTHCARE! This is not going to bring back 4 million jobs or end the recession! He is like a spoiled little kid wants a toy and if he doesnt get that toy he’s gonna make everybody’s life a hell! all you Liberals!

You are gullible …
You are gullible and ignorant. Every private sector business (and heathcare IS A PRIVATE SECTOR BUSINESS FOR PROFIT) that the government has delved into has been degraded to such inefficiency that it ends up helping no one. You need to learn that having an education and getting a good job is the only way to provide what you need in life. I work for a great company and have excellent health care. Why don’t you???

The summit where …
The summit where Obama controlled the debate? Is that the summit you are refering to? That was a media ploy to show blind fools like you that your president is trying so hard to be bi-partisan. If you can’t recognise that, then you are a poor negotiator yourself. Ask Sen Paul Ryan to show you one of 20 republican propsals IGNORED by obama. As for Pelosi & co scarring politicians, you don’t know what politicians fear the most in WA. How old are you? Are you even college educated?

This is …

@HMG5588
This is not the destruction of the system, it’s an improvement for ALL. You have claims but with not a shred of evidence to back it up. I just told you about the incentives that will increase quality of health care and you just ignored it, stubbornly ignorant. Even covered people will still run into financial problems because they will be denied due to a bunch of bullshit the insurance companies come up with. Stop being so biased on open up your mind.

If you think the …
If you think the quality of health care is going to improve with this bill, your’e the brainwashed idiot. Of the 47 million uncovered, there are only 20 million US citizens above the age of 21 who need financial aid for health care. You don’t destroy the entire system for 300 million to help 20 million. That is the depth of complete stupidity. And for you to support this bill speaks to your level of ignorance. Go to school. Get a job. Eat well and exercise. ;-) Go Army!

There are debates …
There are debates over health care between both parties, most recently the healthcare summit. Are you ignoring them? or just unaware. The republicans do not have any good arguments against the bill and they’re still against it, this just shows they’re a party out to get obama and not work for the people. How has Pelosi, Reed and Emmanuel threatened any of the senators or congressmans anyway?

@UnitedBrokenRecordz
The bill lowers premiums, does not force people to get health insurnace, it does not force people who do not want health insurance to get insurance, although these people are asking for it. You need to get your facts straight.

Obama is a failure …
Obama is a failure because he does not know how to work with the other half of the political party, the republicans. Where’s the concensus? Where are the debates? Where is the proof of his promise to run an open government? No. Instead he has Pelosi, Reed, and Emmanuel twisting and threatening weak-minded senators and congress members to vote their way or face political suicide. This is what we have come to after 250 years? Problem is we don’t have any leaders, just kissers.

How does taxing the rich amass debt? You clearly lack common sense. Also, do you mean to say that the diplomatic visits to so many other countries have not been helpful at all? Him banning torture, passing the recovery bill and all the other things…..were useless? You either do not watch the news or have a singe digit iq, don’t comment anymore.

@HMG5588
Clearly you don’t even know what the bill is about, you’re one of those brainwashed idiots who thinks the government is going to take over healthcare. Tell me how government is taknig over healthcare. And do you think that someone who can’t afford treatment that they need is not helpless? just lazy? Tell me how people who can’t afford treatment aren’t helpless. Many of them have health insurance, yet they are denied coverage or not fully covered.
